The Cherokee County Republican Party would like to wish all of our members and friends a Happy and safe Independence Day and remind them of these words from our Founding Fathers:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

The Cherokee County Republican Party would also like to thank our service men and women for their sacrifice, selflessness and willingness to fight for our way of life, our freedoms and our liberties. We pray for those of you in harm’s way that you will safely make it back to your families and loved ones as quickly as possible!

College Republicans @ Reinhardt College attend Georgia Association of College Republicans Convention

Three members (Claire Moore, Stephen Karafa, and Donna Merrell) of the newly-chartered College Republicans @ Reinhardt College (CR@RC) Executive Board attended the annual Georgia Association of College Republicans (GACR) Convention on Saturday, April 17, 2010 held at the Georgia State Capitol in the State House of Representatives.

At the convention, politicians such as Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, House Majority Leader Chip Rogers, RNC committeewoman Linda Herren, Josh McKoon, and keynote speaker, well-loved Republican maverick, Herman Cain spoke.

The GACR also held their annual elections where Andrew Laarhoven of the University of Georgia was elected as Chair, Chandler Epp of Georgia Tech was elected Vice-Chair, and Rosie Ponce of Valdosta State was elected Treasurer.

The CR@RC Executive Board is made up of Claire Moore as President, Stephen Karafa as Vice-President, Clint Parker as Treasurer, Rachael Mack as Secretary, and Donna Merrell, as Faculty Advisor. Currently all the student members of the board are freshmen. Donna Merrell is the only political science professor serving on the Reinhardt College Faculty.

The Membership Comittee is asking for every current member to provide a list of ten names and addresses of friends and neighbors who might be interested in becoming members of the Party. We will solicit their membership through a coordinated mailing. We will make membership sign-up cards available to all who want them. Every new member will receive a free breakfast!

Every 4 new members you sign up or we sign up from your list will entitle you to a free breakfast.

Sign up 10 new members and you will get your Regular dues paid for the next year.

Sign up 20 new members and you will get a paid upgraded Silver membership for next year.

Sign up 25 new members and you will get a paid upgraded Gold membership for next year.
